we were invited to a friends’ home the saturday before easter, and i think that was the most fun i’ve had watching a scavenger hunt.  mainly because now we are in colorado, living in forest, and how much more fun could that be?  there were dozens and dozens of eggs hidden, along with five golden eggs, each one containing a $5 bill.  the area was marked and outlined with balloons at each corner, and it was a race!  an older kid whose house it was was nice enough to place one of the golden eggs near nadia, and said, “here’s an egg!”   she was so excited to see she had won $5!

after the easter egg hunt, we headed to the airport to pick up shelby, our new labradoodle.  so we sadly didn’t end up coloring the four dozen hardboiled eggs we did, but no one seemed to care.  we got a dog!
