dc temple at night…

october.2008
Jarom and I have been able to get to the temple a couple of times this month, which has been really great, not only because we need to be going which is important, but it’s been so nice going on dates more. We continue to order from the Cheesecake Factory and eat it in our car, which is so much fun. I don’t know why, but it’s kinda a picnic, and quiet, and we’re not feeding four other people at the same time that we’re trying to eat, which I’m not complaining-we love our children, but it’s nice it just being us. It’s great to get out on a date, and get away from all the hectic everyday noise of the world.

rock hill apple orchard…

october.2008
Another fun fall tradition, the apple orchards. Our homeschool group is great at planning this one every year, and we had a blast. Jarom was able to come with us too, which was fun! We picked apples, and then went and had a picnic at the park. It was a beautiful fall day, and turned out to be all worth the effort!

a sweet camden moment…

october 12-17. 2008
We were in North Carolina for almost a week, while Jarom was working on a contract there. We were sitting down for lunch one day, little Camden turns to me and asks as I’m getting them all set to eat, “Mom, what is the most amazing thing you’ve ever done?” Well, by far, besides marrying my sweet and amazing husband in the temple, I said, “Having children.” She said, “No, the most amazing thing.” And I replied, “That is definitely the most amazing thing, having all of you!” She was happy with that answer, and we finished lunch and went on our way.

The next day, we were watching a movie in the hotel, and all of a sudden, I felt as though I should ask her the same question, “Camden, what is the most amazing thing you’ve ever done?” She replied, “Grow in your tummy and be born.”

So she has gotten it already, even though she may or may not fully understand, the importance of getting a physical body and being here on this earth. Children are absolutely amazing, and I need to remind myself to listen to them more, instead of telling them what to do so much. Thanks for the sweet lesson, Cam.

lots of little changes…

october 12.2008
Daddy noticed little Nadia has two teeth coming in. Congratulations! You started doing these screams, since you’ve figured out you have a voice, and you’ll sit and do “happy screams” for like thirty minutes. Then you started rolling from back to front about the same time, and now the screams have turned to growls, which is kinda funny when we walk past someone and you growl at the same moment! You are almost sitting by yourself too, what a busy week for you!

It’s the cutest thing when we lay you down to go do sleep in your crib. You will extend your arms out and tuck your hands underneath the bumper pads, and when you are laying on your stomach, you’re really still, but will kick your legs with your little hands tucked under outstretched on each side. So dang cute. I love it when I kiss your cheek, and you are really still and smile, you just love the attention!

The other thing you have been doing, is kinda crying when we are eating at the table. You are in your high chair next to us, and you are crazy for food. I’ve given you a little of a baked potato, and a little banana. You can’t stand just watching us, you are very smart! O.k., maybe I let you taste a little chocolate ice cream I must admit, as you can see from the picture.

You are so entertained and loved by these sweet sisters of yours, they all love to change, feed, and entertain you. You have the sweetest giggle. You’re just growing up too quickly!
