fun at a friends house, zip line and all…
march 2010
Only being here less than a week, we were invited to lunch at someone’s house in the ward, the Hammond’s, and a barbeque between conference on Saturday at someone else’s home, the Horlaucher’s. It’s so fun being around people who actually do social things. We’ve missed this!
The Hammond’s house not only had a great and amazing yard full of fun outdoor things like a zip line, sand box, swing set, but they also had a chicken coup! So inside they had newly hatched chickies, a bunny, and two guinnea pigs. The girls had a blast holding these animals. For the record, we will never have anything that’s hairy, sheds, poos, or requires any additional work besides my children. So, we will share and enjoy others’ animals.
who needs to spend money on toys?…

So while I was unpacking the house, Alex wanted to play with a box. Well, the others saw she had a box, and they wanted one too. Then one box wasn’t big enough, so they “expanded” their boxes for their legs, toys, food, and also designed the “walls” of their boxes. They had so much fun on the patio, you’d have thought we were at Disneyland, only better, because they were using their imaginations, and not being entertained. I LOVED every second, and hearing them laugh and play out there was wonderful!
