our good friends, the vezzani’s, visit us in georgia!
4th of july weekend, 2010
So our friends from WV, were so brave, and drove down with six kids on a Friday, arrived Friday evening, and left early morning to go back home. I have to admit, having 14 people to feed, and keep entertained was something I’ve never done before, and I was a bit nervous, but the weekend was so great!
Of course, watching a flick Friday night is an old tradition of ours(the adults of course-kids fast asleep-all 10 of them!), and Saturday, even though it was a lot of work for the adults(prepping food, potty breaks, juggling babies)taking the kids to White Water was a lot of fun! We were there most of the day, and on the way up, Juventa and I saw a sign for Phantom that was performing in Atlanta, and all the adults said, “let’s do it!” So after a fun filled and busy day at the waterpark(rated the best in the nation I might add!), we got the kids fed, in bed, and the oldest were in charge. Phantom, was amazing of course! What a fun, spectacular occasion to experience with our friends. And even though the seats were high(we got a great deal!), the music and acting was breathtaking! Sunday was church, lunch and a family movie, before a barbeque in which we had more friends come,(now there’s 20 of us-thanks Hansens for joining us too!:)), and we ate, let the kids play outside, and then we did some fun games, and fireworks in our street! Ended the evening with another flick(kids in bed again!), and the Vezzani’s drove off early Monday morning. I’m sure they’re exhausted, wondering what just happened in the four days of travel and visiting, but we enjoyed it and had a lot of fun! Thanks, great friends!
p.s. Thanks Juventa for all the pic’s you took!
