halloween was fun for the kids…carving pumpkins, dressing up, trick or treating…i don’t care to dress up, but they love it, so we do it.  trick or treating in the cold is tolerable, and then the tradition of sorting candy back at the house.  we let the kids eat a few, and followed our friends and started our tradition of buying the candy off the kids the next day.  $10 for the whole kit and kaboodle.  it’s money well spent, as i don’t like the kids eating all that sugar.  we used to have the kids give all our candy to our friend who was going over to africa, since that is like christmas for them.  it felt good doing something good with it.  oh the joys and traditions of halloween.
