something I love passed down…

september 2009
I love those moments when my chidren play together without the bickering, tattling, and fighting. I used to play chess with my brother growing up, which I am the oldest, and he’s almost 7 years younger, so I would have been 17, and he was 10. It was probably the one thing we had in common! So, I love playing chess, and taught Alex and Camden, and Madison is figuring it out too. Here are a few pic’s of Alex and Camden battling it out in chess!

our fourth little monkey…

sept. 2009
Little Nadia is definitely blossoming into this amazing little person. She knows what she likes to do, and will do it. She loves to be self-sufficient, and if she needs help, she’ll ask for it! It’s so sweet! She climbed up and wanted to play the piano, and was patient in smiling for me too. Another past-time she likes to do, is pull books off of her book shelf in a big mess, and sit and look at them. Today, during conference, she was pushing up against the fire place, and I said, “Nadia, do you want a time-out?” We’ve never put her in time-out, but I didn’t know what else to say to get her to stop. She runs out of the room, over to the kitchen, and sits down on the floor and folds her arms. What a smart little cookie! Kids are so smart and observant, they know what’s goin’ on! It was cute. So, here are some pic’s of little Nadia!

our march for freedom…

sept. 12. 2009
Our march for freedom didn’t end up downtown DC as planned, but we did join in spirit from home, as we watched and supported hundreds of thousands of people do so for this nation, if even, just for us. We are so grateful for our founding fathers, who were inspired men to put together this Constitution that makes our country the greatest, and will hold against all that will try to defy it, even if hanging by a thread, it will hold. We are raising the next Army of Helaman, to stand for what is right, good, and for freedom. Thank goodness for a God who loves us and who will help us, as long as we do our part.
