fun make-over! first stop of the fun day…
alex turning 12…
december 18. 2010/december 21. 2010
So this entry is really close to my heart, as our oldest daughter turned 12. Alex brought one of her good friends who turned 12 that day we were out, and we first went to get make-overs at Bare Escentuals, which was so fun to see their transformations! They then got to go do a mani/pedi together, and then Alex cut her locks of hair, to a cute stylish do…what a transformation! She changed from a young girl to a beautiful young woman in one afternoon!
Then on her actual birthday, she got to pick her favorite meals, open presents and we had yummy homemade chocolate cake with our favorite homemade chocolate sour cream icing! Oh ya, it was amazing!
Her going into Young Woman’s at church now boggles my mind, I can’t believe our little tiny baby is now this old, beautiful, smart, and just wonderful to be with! Maybe I just can’t believe we’re the age we are too, which doesn’t bother me, but I guess it’s that I can’t believe we’ve just moved into a new stage of life. Our children are growing up…am I ready for this?
the beautiful tents, smoked chicken, bread stand, yummy taters, so much fun!…
i don’t think a church christmas party could be any cooler…

Between the tents, using sheckles to buy our food, the “grandma” in the rocking chair reading to the children, the reading and acting of the story of Christ by the primary children, and beautiful piano and french horn music being played live, it was a fun night!
