fernbank natural history museum

march 2010
This was my first natural history museum, as far as I can remember anyway, and the girls an I had a lot of fun. The exhibit about tornados, hurricanes, and volcanos was excellently done. Besides that and the dinosaur bones, there weren’t a lot of other things, but luckily, they are adding on a whole lot more. Nevertheless, it was a fun outing!

science experiment about aquifers…

march 2010
Alex’s first science experiment was learning about an aquifer, and what happens to water as it filters through the different layers of soil and sand and rock. We also learned the importance of having clean water, and how if it’s dirty or toxic, the impact it has reaching deep layers of the earth, and how hard it is to get it clean and pure again. We are grateful to have a second kitchen in the basement next to the schoolroom, makes it easy for lunch time, snack time, and science experiments!

i only have a few…

march-april 2010
I haven’t taken a lot of pic’s of our new home on the inside because 1-everything has been unpacked since day 8 of the move, but I haven’t hung a lot of things on the walls and so I wanted to wait for it to look more like home, and 2, time is short lately. I’ll take more soon. We love this home, it is borrowed for a year, while we figure out what our next step is. It’s beautiful, and we’re enjoying our wonderful neighborhood, our great and fun ward, and the area with so many amazing things to do!
