i love creating…

i love to make things…jewelry, decor, pillows, baking, and all sorts of random things.  i get bored doing the same thing, therefore i love trying to make something i haven’t before made.  they are usually pretty simple crafts too, which is good.  i enjoy quick and easy projects.

p.s.  learning to bake gluten-free has pushed my patience at times, but alas, we have figured things out more and more over the years, and have been able to make delicious, scrumptious, yummy foods.

“What you create doesn’t have to be perfect. So what if the eggs are greasy or the toast is burned? Don’t let fear of failure discourage you.”

11 already…

sept. 16.  2014

how did our third little girl grow so quickly…i can’t believe our joyful, cheerful, happy-go-lucky little monkey is getting so big.  we are so very blessed to have her sweet and wonderful spirit in our lives.  she makes every day a lot more brighter and happier.

cam has turned into such an amazing baker, and little chef.  she has the talent to understand and comprehend quickly, to keep things organized in her mind and life, and to think ahead in projects.  she seems to be so mature for her sweet young age.  she can do her schoolwork, write papers and accomplish tasks easily.  she has been a blessing and we were inspired by Heavenly Father to have her after having madison, to help and guide madison as they grow together.  these girls have blessed our lives tremendously.  happy birthday camden!

homeschooling adventures…

sept.-dec.  2014

we have been so very lucky and blessed…that another family started homeschooling in our ward, the price family!  they are an awesome family, and we get together once a week, rotating science or art.  our kids love to play together too, and get along really well.  science right now is botany, and art is meet the masters curriculum…we’ve studied van gogh, picasso, and monet so far.

we have loved having friends to learn with, and play with.  so much fun, so grateful to have some buddies!

fly fishing is a work meeting…ya right.

sept.  2014

so jarom has had to go have client meetings and fly fish with them.  and they have a guide, who also nets their fish for them…pretty nice.  i love that he gets to do these things…fly fishing, skiing, mountain biking, all with clients.  i love that he loves what he does.  what a blessing!

labor day weekend…

sept.  2014

any long weekend is always appreciated…in fact i think work weeks should be four days long, and the weekend three days long.  it’s just not enough time to spend together!

we had quite a few adventures this day.  downtown denver for an art exhibit, then went to the nature and science museum, ran into a huge puerto rican gathering with music and food vendors, then dad took the girls fishing at the reservoir.  if only we had more weekends like this!

new school year…which means not seeing alex very much…

august 18.  2014

i know a lot of parents love it when their kids are gone to school.  i’m not one of them.  i love being with my kids.  i love spending time with them.  alex is a sophomore this year, and that means 6:00am seminary, school, and then she does homework until 9:30 every night.  i miss this munchkin!

but it’s not like i don’t have things to do-homeschooling the other 3!  they are getting so big, so smart, and so talented.  i love seeing them growing, developing skills, understanding more, and i love playing with them.  even though we homeschool year round, we love to take new school year pic’s in the fall with alex.

the rockies…

august.  2014

oh, a favorite thing to do of ours is get in a couple of rockies games.  we love having our kids experience something that is thread into our american culture and history.  yes, baseball…singing take me out to the ball game, spitting sunflower seeds.  it’s tradition!

bee lake…

august.  2014

bee lake, just a small lake, but so much fun.  our friends invited us to enjoy a family tradition of theirs just for the day, and it was lovely.  the girls were wakeboarding, tubing, jarom was skiing…so much fun.  our friends actually lease a site along the lake for the whole summer, and they live in their rv there every weekend.  i doubt i’d ever buy a boat, but it’s fun going out once in a while with friends who have one.  what a memorable day!

storage toy room to cozy toy room…

august.  2014

you get moved in, and get things to the proper rooms, and usable, and then you realize after a few months…why the heck is this room ok to me?  after realizing the toy room was actually an embarrassment and something i dreaded coming down the stairs to, i got going.  i love selling things on craigslist, and taking that money to restoration hardware outlet, and finding super awesome deals.  and voila…a cute and welcoming room…far different than how it started.

p.s.  i loved finding the huge cuddly bear for the toy room at costco,..it was like being a kid again and getting the biggest present of all…didn’t even mind all the stares i got in the store:0
