small intestine…

sept. 2009
We studied the digestive system, and learned the average small intestine is 20 ft. long. Digestion begins in the mouth, when saliva and food mix in the mouth. We also learned how important it is in eating food with a lot of nutrients, and how the digestive system needs to break down the food so the small intestine can use the nutrients and send them throughout our body. Fun!
