the price’s and us decided it was time to see fallon live. jarom was able to get tickets in the insane amount of seconds that it is possible, and we couldn’t wait! it was a blast! we walked new york, went to liberty island, fallon show, les mis on broadway, visited chinatown, ate vietnamese food and ny pizza(i didn’t eat pizza cause i can’t eat gluten), and flew home in a whirlwind of two days. so much fun. can you spot us in the audience?

new beginnings is a church meeting introducing all the young women that will turn 12 this year into the young women’s program. it was beautifully done, and camden can hardly wait to join her two older sisters in yw’s!

we gave alex a small budget, and she said she would come up with the ideas and do the decor and help with the food-and she did a beautiful job. alex loves art, and graphic design, and she did a great job on her invites too. it turned out beautifully, and the cupcake bar was so much fun…of course, the family pitched in a lot of time in helping and baking, and the elders helped us set up too, so it was a great group effort. 27 guests showed up-i think alex felt very loved. it was a fun party. glad we have a few years before the next one though!

i love to make jewelry..but it’s hard to get to sometimes. i did get a few necklaces in, and would like to find more time…but i really do love playing outside with the girls more-so this can always wait…

christmas was laid back and awesome. it’s changing now that the girls are getting older, but it’s still fun, just in a different way. we took off three weeks, and public school was off two weeks, and jarom took off two weeks, so it was a blast everyone being together. jarom took the kids skiing a lot, and i was able to rest a lot, which was marvelous. we did some sledding on the side of our house which was a blast. there were fun projects done, science robot, making wreaths, jewelry, and fun things we don’t get to do often. we love these awesome girls. it was a nice break from busy-ness, and a great time just being together.

alex’s 2nd date was with christian. her first date, kinda wasn’t great-which is good experience i say. but her second date, going to a hockey game, and then the mormon new year’s eve dance was fun! we teach our girls to only group date until 18, and then can start pairing off at 18. so she can’t date someone twice in a row or steady date a boy…there has to be someone different in-between the same boy.

alex is such a wonderful daughter. dont get me wrong, there are rough days, especially moody and dramatic ones. but overall, she is just a lovely young woman. she is a great older sister, very artistic, and a great sense of humor. we are so blessed having her in our lives. we can’t believe we are old enough to have a 16 year old…and now dating and driving!
