the teaching museum…
march 2010
Our next venture was at The Teaching Museum in Roswell, GA. We are homeschooling through K12, and they have a cyber academy to connect public, and private schoolers together, and do field trips for anyone to go to. This was one of them that was set up for us, and it was great, especially only having been in Georgia a week and a half.
This museum teaches about presidents and wives, they have an anne frank room where they also do plays, and a court room where plays also happen. They had a cabin where they had things from the past which we obviously have updated, but it’s neat to share and see and talk about how people would do things and what the items looked like back then. The crazy thing is a house was one big room, can you imagine? I definitely can’t imagine that…kitchen, bedroom, playroom, toyroom, all there, bamm, you’ve arrived because it’s all in one place! Except of course for the bathroom…that’s in the cold and heat. I’m glad I didn’t live back then, whenever then was!
