summer time…

july 2009
With the hot sticky summers, we have been trying to come up with some fun things to do. Since we are an off season family, meaning we do most of our trips during the year when everyone else is in school, it’s fun to have summers without having to feel like we have to go places. So we’ve done fun things, like make homemade dolls(pic’s to come soon), painted-faces and paper, have done bead jewelry, baked a little, watched movies, marshmallow gun fights, water-balloon fights, have been swimming a few times, and of course, kept up with some school work almost every day! A sweet sister from the ward is an amazing teacher, and was nice enough to come over and bring fun stuff from the middle ages, dress-up, fun stories, a knight, and told us some great things about medieval times. It’s been such a needed break, I can’t believe the school year starts the end of this month already!

happy birthday daddy…

july 29. 2009
Jarom, is what I like to say, slowing edging close to 40, but really isn’t, but I guess really is. Alex made him a homemade lemon cake with yummy homemade lemon icing. The cake was made into a colosseum, with icing smeared all over it, just like daddy likes. Happy birthday, we love you!
