practicing motion shots…

feb. 2009
My sister-in-law and I went down to our infamous Races and Slots, and photographed a couple of the horse races. We were practicing a few things, motion, shooting at night, figuring out the ISO/aperture/shutter speed. It was a fun experience!

david and leticia’s wedding…

March 21. 2009
We were honored to be able to attend the temple wedding for David and Leticia. Leticia is the birth mother of Nadia. It was so great to be apart of this important and blessed event, and to see the direction Leticia is going. What an amazing person she is to us, and her great example of sacrifice and love in doing what’s best. The reception was absolutely beautiful. We are very grateful to have been there, and for Leticia’s family to see Nadia. A memory we’ll never forget!

It was great for the kids to see Grandma and Grandpa Olson, and Uncle Justin, Aunt Laural and Cardon. Since Nadia had thrown up probably 8 times on this trip, including in the car as we were traveling, and at the reception, we stayed home while everyone else went out for the traditional Graeter’s Ice Cream. No worries though, I had my healthy chocolate with me!

our first family ski trip…

feb. 2009
The day before we left on our cruise, we took the kids skiing at Ski Liberty in Pennsylvania. It was their first time skiing, and my first time skiing in about 17 years, but it was a blast. It’s amazing how quickly kids learn, and after everyone’s lessons, all the girls were going down, and without poles, which is what I learned with. So to say the least, it was an amazing and fun experience.

My sister-in-law and brother were nice enough to watch Nadia for the day, and she got to play with her cousin Kaylee. It all worked out great!
