while daddy’s away, tea time-the girls say…
september 6.2008
Jarom has a great tradition with three other friends from the good ‘ol BYU days. One is also not only a companion from his mission where they served in St. Petersburg, Russia, but was also his roommate in college. Once we move to the East, they decided to fly and meet once a year for a BYU game, and this year was to Washington State. I don’t keep up on names of teams and so forth, but I do know BYU won by 1 pt. today, so it was a good day I’m sure.
So we’ve had busy times at home and a field trip Friday, and a great pajama Saturday, watched a movie, ate pizza, made paintbrush cookies(you paint the dough with egg yolks and food coloring and the cookie’s puff up really big), and tea time with hot cocoa. It was fun. I wish I could say I was energetic and fun, but mostly tired and wishing I could be more fun. Can’t wait for daddy to come home tomorrow afternoon, but really glad he was able to go have fun and get away for the weekend. Love ya bud!
And yes, the exersaucers are over-stimulants! And Nadia’s hand looks so funny in the pic held back next to her head, she did it all by herself. I should have gotten her whole arm in though.
i love quotes…one from the long list I’ve collected…
“We are not born into this world with fixed habits. Neither do we inherit a noble character. Instead, as children of God, we are given the privilege and opportunity of choosing which way of life we will follow-which habits we will form. Confucius said that the nature of men is always the same. It is their habits that separate them. Good habits are not acquired simply by making good resolves, though the thought must precede the action. Good habits are developed in the workshop of our daily lives. It is not in the great moments of test and trial that character is built. That is only when it is displayed. The habits that direct our lives and form our character are fashioned in the often uneventful, commonplace routine of life. They are acquired by practice.”

discovering the world…

I took some pic’s of Nadia havin’ a little tummy time. If you notice, happy, happy, happy, thinking about not being happy, crying…She lasted longer then I thought though! There’s lots of pic’s, the better for herself to see when she gets older. Sweet baby, has blessed our family tremendously! We just cannot give her enough squeezes and hugs, each girl still loves playing and taking care of her. The best is when you are kissing her face, she’ll lay really still with a smile. Oh, so sweet. You can tell she loves to be loved! Don’t we all though:) Thank goodness for good marriages, sweet children, the gospel to guide us, and chocolate with peanut butter!
